My oldest sister had Sounds of Silence album—it’s one of my earliest memories of music. Even as a small kid I kinda admired the resolve that strong people (rocks) know it’s okay to be alone (for a while anyway), with books & stuff in a cozy room… that’s actually pretty cool (as long as you’re not *completely* shut off like a island or whatever)

Quick and easy one. For part one, just ran from the min to max for all axes in turn, incrementing each time a pair had one droplet and one air voxel. Part 2 was the same, but also with a pathfinding check between the air voxel and a known outside voxel.

Got sick of implementing my own coordinate types and just pulled in nalgebra.

I completed of . Medium difficulty, more than 5 hours work.

I had 3 "Aha!" moments: half-position coordinates to describe cube faces; flood algorithm to separate exterior / boundary / interior of the rock; exterior of interior = interior of boundary.

Now trying to refactor the code, for elegance. No code posting, though.

It’s raining after such a prolonged hard frost, so the garden is back on show and reminding me of all things I need to do! 😬 I’m glad before the cold temperatures came I got these beauties in for overwintering. Osteospermum are a favourite of mine and this variety, serenity bronze, is a stunner. Posting this one from June to brighten up what is now a dull and dreary day.
