My query of the day:

SELECT col1,col2,col2
FROM t
WHERE upper(col500) IN (upper('XXX'), upper('YYY'), ...)

with the slight twists being that :
- col500 contains an integer value and so does XXX, YYY
-the IN clause contains over 100 000 elements.
