Eligibility Criteria:
1. You have a formal, or self diagnosis of: #ADHD, #Autism (#ASD), #Dyslexia, #Dyspraxia (#DCD) etc.
2. You joined your employer after 01.11.2021
3. You have a hybrid/remote working environment

The process will potentially involve some intake and consent forms and a 60-minute interview.

Both general and specific knowledge about #DCD remains limited among clinicians. We asked GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to complete a survey about their awareness of neurodevelopmental conditions:

To my dear autistic community, I’m curious.

Do you have one strictly dominant hand? (Whether left or right). Are you ambidextrous, meaning you can use either hand for any activity equally well? Or are you mixed-handed, also known as having cross-dominance? Meaning you favour one hand for certain tasks and the opposite hand for others.

I grew up thinking I was some off-brand of ambidextrous, not having heard of cross-dominance until my late 20s. I write with my left but am naturally inclined to use my right for a lot of other tasks. It appears there may be a link between both left-handedness and ‘atypical handedness’ in general and being autistic. I also suspect I have undiagnosed dyspraxia which, who knows, may be connected.

My Mum, younger sister and I are all left-handed (as well as being ND) but I don’t actually know anyone that is mixed-handed.

Signed off on Youngest's application for Assistive Technology today. He fits the criteria as per the DSM5. With the huge difference (and it is huge) in handwriting speed versus typing speed and the fact that he is in the 2nd percentile for handwriting, , we're hoping the SENO will agree ahead of the official paediatrician sign off. #Dyspraxia #DCD
