I watched #TheFlash on Max last night. It was possibly the least heroic superhero movie that I've ever seen. But there's one question lingering on my mind:

Why do all #DCEU characters look like unlicensed toy versions of themselves?

I enjoyed The Flash mainly because Batman 89 represents my Batman and it was so awesome seeing Michael Keaton return as Batman and Bruce Wayne -- he's still the best Bruce Wayne of all of. them.

There are some great cameos in the movie that reward long time fans of DC movies.

The story itself is perfunctory, but works to keep the movie moving along. It is a bit long at almost 2.5 hours.

As part of my #DCEU rewatch, I saw "The Suicide Squad" (2021) for the first time, and truly loved it. It fixed everything done wrong in the 2016 edition, and renewed my love of #JamesGunn.

Blue Beetle was surprisingly a lot of fun! Centered around family values, I'm sure it will resonate well with Filipinos. It actually has a Pinoy movie vibe with its rich vs poor theme, humor, and drama.

Speaking of which, the voice of the scarab in PH cinemas is none other than Inka Magnaye, the popular Filipino voice artist. Congrats to her! Well deserved. 👏

Taking a break from my #DCEU rewatch, I finally remembered to watch the final episode of #SecretInvasion. I actually kind of enjoyed the series. The story was kind of messy in construction, but the concepts behind it were cool, and I always love spy / "you won't know who to trust" types of tales.

I also watched "Wonder Woman 1984" for the first time last night, as part of my #DCEU rewatch. And every time I think about it, I get more angrily disappointed. 2.5/5, and that's being overly generous.
