There's a street I sometimes pass and I couldn't bear to live there because of how it's spelt. The legendary King Arthur had a famous sword called Excalibur. I could live on a street called Excalibur. This street is named Excaliber. The word excaliber is a piece of tedious stock-market jargon and I doubt that's what the developer who named the street was thinking about. Sigh. #SpellCheck #MoCo #DCLiving #KingArthur

I don't believe people are worse than they were 30 years ago, even if their behavior is worse. I think people are just that more desperate now. Income inequality, low wages (compared to profits and productivity), crushing healthcare costs, high rents, more people out of the workforce and in prison than ever, etc. We have created VAST, ALMOST INFINITE pools of money for a tiny minority of people and it's nearly impossible for other people to stay afloat. That's wrong.

@DontMindMe The National Portrait Gallery/Museum of American Art has a super courtyard you can stay at all day if you like, but the adjacent cafe is nothing special.

The Nat'l Gallery has a cafeteria you can hang in all day, but it's not as nice as the one at the Portrait Gallery.

Hey Fediverse. I think my next car will be an electric. Do you have one? Care to share pros and cons?

My daily commute is only 20 minutes each way. I have a garage to keep a car in at home. I rarely go farther than 50 miles away on the weekends, and we have a gas car in the household anyway. I live near DC so I want an enclosed vehicle to keep the weather out. I think I'm a good candidate. Please share your thoughts on electric cars. #DCLiving #ElectricCar #Car

#DCLiving - best thing about silver line stations opening? They created pedestrian overpasses across the Dulles Toll Road. The crossing points up to now have been mostly dangerous car centric under-bridge sidewalks that are only accessible across dangerous highway on-ramps.
