Today is #Nakba day, commemorating the violent displacement of Palestinians in 1948 to create the state of Israel. Recently @airbnb@twitter.com caved in to pressure and returned to listing illegally occupied homes in the West Bank. So I chose to #deactivateairbnb.

In solidarity with all the families forcefully expelled from their ancestral home in Palestine over the course of last 71 years.

Palestinians and allies are tweeting #deactivateAirbnb today — on the 71st anniversary of the Nakba.
The campaign urges people to deactivate their Airbnb accounts because it continues to list properties in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.
