Took the final steps and #deactivated and #uninstalled the bird app yesterday.

I just dropped into my old Tw*tter account and the first tweet I saw on there was Dan Wootton being angry and shouting at clouds about a prime minister of a country he doesn’t live in anymore. He wasn’t even right. It was just the usual ‘say it often enough and people will believe it’ stuff that infests the media nowadays.

#Deactivated my #TikTok last night; after mulling it over past few days. Browsed few vids & saw it's still #toxicAF & that helped reaffirm decision to leave. I'll likely delete my account there in new year, after downloading my content. Way too many clout chasers & misogynistic bigots who get away with a lot of crap on TT.
I posted about corrupt govts, criminal cops, POC book recommendations & get censored. They censored me for posting info on a book about WS in Canada, used in university 🤡

I feel so ashamed...

But in those 21 days, some accounts that I rely on for critical information have not come over to #Mastodon...

I much prefer the Mastodon community and thank all the new good people that came over here...

So I quit #BirdSite a while ago, but later reactivated my account just to DM old friends and squat on my username. That was a mistake... but I fixed it today!
