@autarch Total #deactivation for me too. I waved goodbye to my 20k followers and the muddy waters of the birdbath, and dived into the crystal clear lake that is this incredible community. I had no idea how grimy I had become!

So I went back to check my twitter account /it was deactivated and logged in, then deleted a few things such as phone number . ,then forgot to deactivate again , logging out and then realized I can’t get back in to a locked account that appears now as active . OK. I deactivated two Twitter accounts. The first deletion was easy, it was for my visionary ecofiction publishing company and we mostly use our Facebook page anyway, so no big deal. The second was my personal account. At its peak the account had about 12,000 followers and many, many curated lists. I opened the account in 2011, my second go around with Twitter. You know what? I actually had to grieve for a moment before I let go the personal account. I guess it meant more to me to connect and to curate in that way than I had realized. But, on now having done it (ripping off the bandaid), it feels easy, natural and free. Onward!
