Maybe the most important application on my desktop has always been the music player.
For the last 8+ years I've been using #Nulloy which is an excellent minimal music player with a waveform display.
Today however I found #DeaDBeeF !
Wow! You can customize it into pretty much everything you want and it has a waveform plugin.

I'm gonna run this as my default for a while now and see how it goes :)

I think I'll replace DeaDBeeF with this since Audacious has a library feature (plus it can look like Winamp!)
It also works on #Windows (sorry Mac folks)

An excellent audio player for opus (and other format) files that supports GTK3/Wayland on Linux is DeaDBeef. I had to compile it from source for RHEL 9 but it was fairly straightforward. Highly customisable GUI - but I like to keep it simple. https://deadbeef.sourceforge.io/
