Definitely see why this #ChatPile album has been showing up on so many year end lists. Absolutely ferocious noise rock, big #Godflesh and #Deadguy vibes. https://chatpile.bandcamp.com/album/gods-country
Ok whatever, I'm turning this into a thread on screamy great horrible music. 🧵
#Deadguy was brilliant. I saw them play at the Velvet Elvis in Seattle. It was a club small enough that the crowd surrounded the band on stage. Tim Singer (the singer) used to be in a band called No Escape before forming Deadguy with the guitarist from Rorschach – both of those bands are legendary in their own right within that scene.

Interleaved with all of this I played drums in an assortment of #punk, #noise, and #indierock bands.
The noisiest was nineironspitfire. We were essentially a #Deadguy/#TodayIsTheDay ripoff band (if you know you know). We toured the US for two months with Botch and Ink & Dagger. Botch was amazing. They started the tour essentially unknown, but by the end they were headlining most nights. Just brutal, screaming, artful, mathy, cool shit. Amazing group to spend two months with.
