I was ambivalent about the Peacock reality show but intrigued by the idea of Swedish Death Cleaning, so I went to the source and am enjoying it a lot more. Magnusson's pragmatic approach and authentic voice are more appealing than Poehler's snark, and at barely 100 pages, it's refreshingly brisk and focused.

The cleaning starts before they die. I field calls from folks feeling their way through cleaning out/shutting down someone's home after they die, and I'm good at guiding them through that. But honestly, the process starts before they die.
