🎉 I've just released @Xdebug 3.3.0alpha2, with preliminary support for PHP 8.3.

🐛 Uploading it to PECL didn't work, as due to an upgrade, MySQL now (finally) rejects characters that the table charset wouldn't allow, instead of just corrupting it. I learned about this cool #GNOME feature today, and I thought I'd share it with those who don't know about it yet:

You can, in any app window, press Ctrl+Shift+i to open the #Inspector, a little window for getting #debug and version information, logs, tree views of the UI template, per-widget property information, a text field for adding custom CSS, and a whole bunch more useful stuff!

I just merged https://github.com/php/web-pecl/pull/92, and ran the regeneration script.

This was not easy!

The script halted with a GnuPG release, because a temporary XML file could not be read. There was no difference between that file and others.

Everything after that also started failing…

Witzigerweise wird der Codepfad, in dem die Debug-Ausgabe erstellt wird, gar nicht aufgerufen, weshalb man meinen könnte, dass sie eigentlich keinen Einfluss auf das Ergebnis haben sollte...
