Socially, historically, financially. From their behaviors. I'm a historian myself, but I could not think of a way to define this clearly.

After some false starts on this platform, I think I have it and I can make an #introduction. My working interests are #decadence and #decadents, notably #decadentwomen. My academic background is in #history, particularly #victorian; in #literature and in #biography.
Personally I am committed to #LGBTQ issues and #sexworker rights.
