The first twenty minutes of this film feels exactly like Election (1999) or The Usual Suspects (1995). I've seen plenty of Park Chan Wook films but that's an interesting combination of tension/motivation. Makes it easy to understand what's going on too. #DecisionToLeave #film

#DecisionToLeave porte bien son nom tant j’aurais pu à tout moment m’endormir devant ce film tant il ne se passe jamais rien. Plus sérieusement, je n’aime pas la prétention qui se dégage du cinéma de Park Chan-wook : un montage vivant et une scénographie certes efficace ne suffisent pas à rendre captivant ce récit programmatique où cette « amour interdit » ressemble bien plus à une coquille vide qu’autre chose. Même constat qu’avec Mademoiselle, du cinéma façon « hypers gonna hype ». À oublier.

The 11 nominations for #EverythingEverywhereAllAtOnce are well-deserved especially Best Actress for #MichelleYeoh. But snubbing #DecisionToLeave (at least worthy of Best International Feature and Best Director) is like Hollywood proclaiming they’ve satisfied their Asian quota!
