The head of Survival’s #DecolonizeConservation campaign Fiore Longo said today: “After years of violating #humanrights in the name of so-called "conservation", now Western NGOs are stealing #IndigenousLand in the name of "#climatemitigation."

#Rainforest (i.e #indigenous homelands) credits (i..e monetized commons), which are generated by predicting #deforestation, that would have happened in the absence of the #conservation projects, were #LargelyMeaningless, putting organizations that buy the offsets at risk of #greenwashing.

We’ll, as he lays out: “Indigenous peoples make up just 5 percent of the global population, they are protecting 80 perfect of the world’s remaining biodiversity.”

Macron tout particulièrement qui en fait la promotion depuis des mois trouve là un moyen peu contraignant de verdir son image.

On expulse, on viol, on massacre des populations au nom d'une supposé "Wilderness" qui n'est qu'un mythe.
L' anthropologie ( Levi's Strauss, Descola ...) l'a démontrée il y a longtemps déjà.
L' Amazonie notamment n'a jamais été "vierge".
Elle est entretenue par les peuples qui y vivent depuis des millénaires.

Si aujourdhui, 80 % de la biodiversité restante sur la planete se trouve en territoire autochtone, ça n'a rien d'un hasard. Ils savent vivre en harmonie et préserver leurs environnements depuis toujours.

Der 30 %-Plan verfolgt die gleiche koloniale Logik und könnte zum größten Landraub der Geschichte führen, wenn wir ihn nicht aufhalten! Immer mehr Studien zeigen, dass dieser Plan weder den Klimawandel aufhalten, noch die Biodiversität erhalten wird.

Von der UN aus gibt es einen "Global Deal for Natur and People". Dieser sieht vor, dass bis zum Jahr 2030 etwa 30% der gesamten Land- und Meeresoberfläch unter Naturschutz gestellt werden sollen. Indigene Genmeinschaften üben scharfe Kritik an diesem Vorhaben. Erfahrungen der Vergangenheit zeigen, dass dies mehr als berechtigt ist.
