Treat members of cults like they have autonomy and choice over their own lives, even if that choice is to stick with the authoritarian. That is in contrast with the way the group leader treats them.

If we really have a problem with a high-demand group dictating what’s best for people, we don’t reverse that process by dictating what’s best for them.
