Now, in the US, more people are deconstructing than 20 years ago, but it's all about the effect on ourselves. But the fact is, christianity stunts personal growth and creates immature parents who physically or emotionally abuse their kids.

I was never a believer. Because of this, I'm fascinated with deconversion stories. I've probably read hundreds over the years.
I often hear the sentiment "It's pointless to argue with [obstinate group]. They will never change their minds."
Most of the atheists in my country are ex-Christians and living proof that this sentiment is false.

I've probably read hundreds of deconversion stories. While my observations from this are more anecdotal than scientific, I've read a lot of these stories.
#Religion has been in decline for decades now, and I occasionally see people pointing to this or that study that says most #atheists are coming from liberal denominations.
