je me relance dans mes investigations Speech-to-text et Text-to-speech. Bizarrement c'est quelque chose qui revient régulièrement. Est ce que des gens savent ce qu'est devenu #DeepSpeech et si #MozillaVoice est toujours maintenu?
De mon côté je me base sur #mycroft mais j'ai le sentiment que le projet est un peu à l'arrêt mais je me trompe peut-être.

Eigentlich möcht' ich nur PodCasts für #blinde Menschen Untertiteln, damit sie auch von #Gehörlosen gelesen werden können. Es sollen halt lediglich wiederkehrend falsch erkannte Wörter verbesssert werden.

I needed a way to find out call my garbage collection company to find out if there would be a holiday delay, so I combined #Asterisk and #DeepSpeech to update #HomeAssistant. It works better than I honestly thought it would.

I'm sad about the Mycroft announcement, but on the other hand, it's already essentially obsolete.

With advanced like the Whisper voice recognition system, the Deepspeech TTS project, and now the OpenAssistant project using language models, we're on the cusp of a ore much fluid, much more complete assistant that is privacy respecting, realistic and much more powerful.

Working on a #HomeAssistant automation using #Asterisk to place a call, record the call as a wav, convert the audio to text with #DeepSpeech, check for keywords, and finally post to MQTT. All so I can know if garbage pickup will be delayed for a holiday, since my trash service can't figure out how to update their website.

Tried to use #Mozilla 's #DeepSpeech tonight to automate caption generation for my educational videos, but it was a nightmare. Wasted 2 hours. Tried #Microsoft #Azure 's Speech SDK and it just worked. Was up and running in 10 minutes. Working on a cool project to make my videos more accessible and searchable. Stay tuned.

You are right, I looked outside of the documentation and found this one where #DeepSpeech is used for Speech To Text https://wltd.org/posts/how-to-make-mycroft-run-offline-to-have-real-privacy So then it seems the projects work on a common base, strengthening each other.

Is there any *easy* way to setup dictation, voice-to-text, etc. for #linux ?

Everything I can find is #Dragon #Kali and #DeepSpeech which are packages and are not easy to use.

Here are a few easy ways that I've experienced (and enjoyed) myself:
- Help train #mozilla's #commonvoice #deepspeech recognition engine with your own voice and ears!
- Improve #openstreetmap data either via their website's editor or an app such as #streetcomplete.
- Translate #foss using the platform #crowdin (this morning I translated for #pixelfed!).

What other #easy and #accessable methods have you used?
