The #law requires #defendants to establish 3 things to move a case to #FederalCourt: that they were an officer of the US or acting under an officer; that they’re facing #criminal charges “for or relating to any act under color of such office”; &that they have raised or will raise a “colorable federal defense.” #Meadows filed a separate motion in fed court to #dismiss #charges against him under the #Constitution’s #SupremacyClause, but this will be heard only if his arguments for #removal prevail

The indictment alleges several interconnected schemes to overturn the legitimate results of #Georgia’s 2020 presidential election—and efforts to conceal those schemes.

The #indictment also catalogs the acts of 30 unnamed “unindicted co-#conspirators,” who were allegedly involved in “overt acts in furtherance of the conspiracy.”

Special #prosecutor D.J. Hilson confirmed the charges Tues afternoon, saying his investigation… in #Michigan was "ongoing & not over," …other individuals will be #charged.

"The charging decision was the result of a thorough decision-making process by an #independent citizens #GrandJury," Hilson said in a statement. "This citizens grand jury carefully listened to the sworn #testimony & analyzed the #evidence as required by #law & returned a decision to indict each of the #defendants."
