A possible example of the "market distortion" red tape is second hand shops, e.g. furniture. You still have to pay for what others probably gave away for free because they would have discarded it otherwise. Then you also have to pay for delivery, which commercial companies often offer for free (because they enjoy wholesale discounts). So in the end the poorest people can't afford second hand furniture either.
