I have to laugh. Now that I no longer commute, train delays don't bother me. I'm warm, dry and I have a bench to sit on.
The train on which my friend is arriving is delayed 32 minutes. That's sufficient for the larger Delay-Repay partial refund—if we have an extra 45 minutes to fill in the online form. (Talk about intentional design for difficulty!)
Today's excuse is new to me: a problem with overhead wiring.

Train home cancelled. Joy. Will take another 45 minutes to get back with changes instead of a direct service. At least its on company time and I can get #DelayRepay. So entertain me and #AskMeAnything as I take the high road home.
Only works for publicly owned transport companies but worth finding out how much is paid in Delay Repay if you have one.
