As a leader, how do I know if I'm delegating well?

Here's a heuristic that I use to judge where I stand with #delegation.

If what I'm delegating is helping to develop and cultivate #leadership qualities in another person, then I'm probably delegating the right stuff and the right amount.

If what I'm delegating is best accomplished by a compliant employee, then I'm not delegating the right stuff, or not delegating enough.
