@DVE @EchteNachtraaf The article about DeLijn is quite interesting. I complained about #DeLijn previously: https://mamot.fr/@expat/110009364572950371 DeLijn is misleading in that article. They say you can pay cash at a press shop for tickets, but they neglect to say you cannot buy a single trip ticket at a press shop. It must be a 10-trip ticket. The DeLijn winkel refuses cash, as does their machines.

@EU_Commission @keunes BTW, I have been refused access to #DeLijn buses in #Brussels because they have stopped accepting cash (drivers, kiosks, and even over the counter). Public services in Europe are losing the equal access they once had. #WarOnCash #equality

@simonblackley I suppose you mean it’s good w.r.t UX. I won’t even consider an app that I cannot obtain without a Google acct. I also don’t imagine that the app accepts cash. I think there are only 2 ways to get a #DeLijn single trip with cash: 1. buy a mobile phone & a sim chip with cash, register it, use it for an SMS ticket (this requires carrying the phone).

The #deLijn bus in #Brussels quit accepting cash for tickets on the bus, removed the cash option from the kiosks & even OTC service at Lijnwinkel now refuses cash. They said tickets can be bought at DelHaize (bogus) & at press shops. “Relay” can sell tickets but only 10 packs not single journeys. Is this legal?
