Good Morning Friends! This morning you get yet another post of #PathOfExile nonsense as I found my first raw Divine Orb of the #Crucible league last night down in #Delve. I also talk a bit about how my defenses are starting to come online and everything is feeling a bit more stable.

I have procrastinated mightily, but despite my best efforts I have actually done a thing I meant to do!
I have started playing a game of Delve!
If you're not familiar, it's a map-making game inspired by Dwarf Fortress, where you build a fortress....for dwarves. Oh, and try to find some treasure, but that's not important I think.
It's pretty fun, I think. The drawing slows me down since I'm not used to it, but I'll get there.

Day Nine: We explored on the first level in an attempt to build up our depleted resources before we discover anything else dangerous. Found a small, dry cavern that would make a good store room. Added to our supplies. No demons spawned today, thank goodness, we needed the rest. #SoloRPG #Delve
Day eight: We continued exploring west and found a cavern with some old but sound lumber. We gratefully added it to our depleted supplies. Before we could go any further a screeching and shrieking behind us made it clear that another foul creature had made its way through the portal. The adventurer who has taken up residence in our inn met the creature and held it while our troops finished it off. We’ve been lucky so far but we worry that something worse awaits us.
#Delve #SoloRPG
Day Seven: We moved through the room with the demon portal and found ourselves surrounded by twinkling crystals. In awe of the beauty of this cavern we began work on a shrine. As we discussed our plans a spine chilling roar came from the previous room and we knew a demon had found its way through the portal. Our troops began making their way toward the threat as the demon moved toward the entrance. Thanks to the ice trap we’d set they were able to overtake and defeat it! #Delve #SoloRPG
Day Three: We continued to explore to the east but immediately met a dead end at a dormant volcanic shaft. We were all a little unsettled staring into the seemingly endless darkness. We turned back east, through the barracks and kitchen, and found another pleasant and usable cavern. We built an inn and soon had attracted an adventurer, who sat at a table in a darkened corner. It’s comforting to have some extra muscle on hand even if he’s not terribly sociable. #Delve #SoloRPG
Day two- After a good nights sleep and a hearty breakfast we flipped a coin to choose between the two passages leading away from the entrance where we’d camped. One headed to the west, the other the east. Today we explored the west passage and after only about 100 steps it opened into another cavern. The cavern was dry with an even floor so we constructed barracks to house our soldiers. There are likely dangers ahead that we’ll need them for. #Delve #SoloRPG
Starting late and not sure if I will be able to keep it up, but I was curious if I could use the #Ironsworn #ttrpg #Delve rules to create #Dungeon23 dungeon. So far it is working out pretty well. I'm stating denizens for #Cairn.
My randomly rolled theme and domain are Infested and Ice Cavern and have populated it with Blue Ice Worms and Ice Mirror Dopplegangers.

Delve v2023.01.20 (Lexaloffle Pico-8) (Game)

Delve by LeonAdrian17 is a short top-down action game made with PICO-8.
In this game you need to delve deep into a dungeon, vanquish evil and collect keys. You can select from different characters, which actually spice up the game. The characteres are Mage, Archer and Knight....

Friends... I thought maybe this would be the week that I move on past #PathofExile but nope... the heart wants what the heart wants. I continue my obsession with #Delve and my hunt for Aul the Crystal King.

Outline for tomorrow with kiddo’s help: a moon-pool (lightly iced over) to the ocean channel below where miners would launch in a submersible? And a creature (medium sized beast, barbed… a walrus-thing with a whippet harpoon-like tail) - need a name for it! #dungeon23 #ttrpg #ironsworn #delve

Almost all of #Ironsworn, #Delve, and #Starforged was already CC BY-NC-SA or CC BY, and now even more of it is; the only parts that aren’t under a Creative Commons licence now are the images, illustrations and design elements.

Rules, descriptions of the rules, assets and oracles are all available for remixing. In return, you just have to provide credit, make clear that your new thing isn’t an official thing, and not be an arsehole.
Thanks, @shawntomkin!
Good Morning Friends! I am once again talking about #PathOfExile and Delve as I find my first Abyssal Cities last night. I also talk a bit about respeccing my Atlas Tree away from Wandering Path.

It is most definitely not morning anymore, but I am finally getting around to writing a blog post. We can either chalk it up to me still being in "vacation mode" or the technical difficulties I had this morning that got in the way. Regardless Happy New Year and here is another post about #PathOfExile

I made an auth token lifetime too short for a long-running Go process. Surprisingly enough, replacing it in flight with Delve just worked.
$ dlv attach $PID
(dlv) break apiRequest
(dlv) continue
(dlv) step
(dlv) call main.token = "REDACTED"
(dlv) exit
Had to use "call" because "set" only works on numbers (as this had to allocate a string), set a breakpoint because "call" needs a running goroutine, step because the breakpoint was "not at safe point".
For my #SoloRoleplaying games, I've been using that wombo #aiArt dreaming app to produce little images to represent #ironsworn #delve locations. Some of them come out great!
However. AI art is a bit squicky, legally and morally speaking. Does anyone have an alternative? I need to be able to say, eg: "haunted mineshaft, overflowing lava!" and get something cool. I can't afford to commission someone several times a week based on the whims of the dice. Any tool kits out there?

This is such a fun video, and Kruggsmash really makes the game come alive. Highly recommended video for the storytelling, the art, and Anna Blackwell's game at the heart of it all. Go watch and give it a little love.

I made it to level 2 of #Delve tonight 🙌 I’m slowly learning how to survive in the game and am enjoying drawing all the different caves, buildings and monsters along the way.
Delve is a charming map-drawing game which has you mining a network of caves, discovering natural formations and ancient magic, and defending it against monsters. It’s a lot of fun!

Ok, after rereading #Ironsworn #Delve: Exploring unknown regions is basically a Delve-style dungeon crawl.
Pick a rough region, come up with fitting themes/domains (Those might need a bit of work), give it a rating and then delve. As you mark progress, you fill the regions with opportunities and dangers and once you finish the delve the region is roughly explored. At least enough that you can now Undertake a Journey instead of delving every time.
