He’s only gone and done it, our Jamie! Day 4 was Aldgate to Great Portland Street run, then Moor Park to Harrow-on-the-Hill to finish his 80km journey, the last leg of which he ran with his wife, Fiona.

Today's visit to aunt and uncle - all good, had a nice lunch and a trip out to Dorchester. Grateful for current stability #dementia #dementiauk

Another visit to my uncle and aunt today. Very positive - uncle is much better and aunt has new medication which is helping. They like their new carer who is popping in twice a week. I know it won't last forever but grateful for a small sense of stability for now.

A good afternoon with my aunt and uncle. We had a meal together and talked about the future. They've asked me to look into options for residential care but are not quite sure what they want/need. So I'm going into research mode while carers support them at home for now. Will report back. Thanks for the support and good wishes today, much appreciated.

My Saturday: we're travelling to Dorset to visit my aunt and uncle. My aunt has dementia and my uncle (her carer) is also unwell. As their power of attorney for health we have some big conversations to have regarding future support and care. All prayers/positive thoughts appreciated.

I’ve been in the Nursing Home where Mum moves to tomorrow. Making up her room and stuff. Twice the nurse who will look after her has come in to chat about stuff and each time he’s gently put his hand on my shoulder.
Touching strangers isn’t always appropriate but sometimes, like now, this human contact is so reassuring and comforting.
