Unfortunately, you are entirely correct.

In fact, if you click on the second image, it includes tweets from the Justice Democrats bragging about their scheme to take over the DNC and insisting that they’re not Democrats.

Likewise, the first tweet has Bernie insisting that he’s not a Democrat, repeatedly and consistently over the course of decades. He also equates the DNC and RNC, which gets us to the next point.

Does it ever work? Well, it has at least once, and the JD’s explicitly model their attempt on it. Their comm director has bragged about being the Tea Party of the Left.

Except, of course, their takeover failed, largely for the reason that Hayes alludes to below. These socialist populists are white-centered and (at minimum) anti-antiracist. And, yes, they’re antisemitic as well.

Since the Democratic Party base isn’t white and doesn’t tolerate racism, that didn’t go over very well. Not that they’re giving up.

As for helping Republicans, there’s an ironclad case to be made that Bernie got Trump elected. Consult the second and third images below; the numbers don’t lie.

Moreover, by associating the DNC with toxic slogans like “socialism” and “defund”, they hurt us in the voting booth. Or at least that’s what this guy named Obama says, and I believe him.

So, like I said, you are unfortunately correct. That’s why I was bothered by the implication that “progressives” are Democrats. They tell us they’re not, and I see no reason to doubt them based on their actions.
