The Biden administration fucking over working families by ending COVID relief programs is going to hand Republicans 2024 because they will stonewall any effort to bring it back then say "bidenomics doesn't work" and people were better off under trump. Because Biden wanted to "tackle inflation" he’s committed himself and the Fed to the contractionary monetary policy that raises interest rates such that the finance overlords pull out their investments and VC money stops keeping things afloat and workers get laid off, also the Fed chair explicitly stated that the idea was to discipline workers. The treasury doesn’t do this against the wishes of the executive branch, if they wanted to they could reverse it. Many economists have told them that more stimulus is actually the real way to beat inflation but that’s not good for capitalists who want to squeeze workers. So as much lip service as Biden will give to how republicans are ruining his plan to build back better or whatever, his fiscal policies speak for themselves.

This is why the average white male voter (who are the only voting demographic not currently being disenfranchised under this system) will be convinced that he was better off under trump, and that has bad consequences.

George Takei’s substack The Big Picture, is documenting how #Republicans are attacking #Biden for things tht happened while #Trump was president. “Joe Biden & party shuttered schools, forced masks, & put #vaccines in their arms, all to hold our children bk w/ long-lasting impacts on their educational future. The #Democrats put power over our kids.” Only problem is all of those things happened in 2020 by Trump. The RNC has gone so far as to use pictures & video from 2020 to attack Biden.

While the Dems pulled millions out of Florida in 2022 the GOP pulled out of other states and dumped in Florida. Why? Was it to set money on fire? No. It was because they know it's still in play.

Plenty boycotted the election in 2016 when #Democrats nominated #HillaryClinton (many had grievances against #Hillary, especially how her & #BillClinton handled donations to #Haiti 🇭🇹 plus various crime bills that were passed).

If #Trump is the nominee for the #GOP, they will vote for #Biden again in 2024.

@uspolitics I think this thoughtful and solid analysis is pretty accurate but misses a key point: #Democrats can win anywhere. We should run everywhere with few exceptions.

As the author (Perry Bacon) notes it's unlikely Beshear's path to the governor's office is a map for other Democrats in red states but the fact that he won and is in good position to win again is crucially important AND it illustrates how important thinking LOCAL is.
