BREAKING: Iowa's House has passed a bill to spend hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars each year to pay families' private school costs, a top priority of Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds.

"The private school voucher bill passed 55-45, with nine Republicans joining every Democrat to oppose the bill. It's expected to win passage in Iowa's Senate tonight.

Roughly half of Iowa counties don't have any private schools."
