I took an occasional short-break from the last 2 years reading only books by #LGBTQ / #POC writers to read a 70's #Sci-Fi series (I saw it referenced in one of those books!) and just found out that the writer was both a believer that #HIV was caused by drug use; and a #holocaust #denier.

I am going to finish the series, because he also worked for #DEC and I am curious about some references - But this is why I avoid #old, #white #science #fiction #writers!

I only heard some of the disturbing diatribe Trump came out with during his announcement to run again. Some phrases were positively Orwellian: "Peace through Strength" and "Shatter the Forces of Tyranny". Others sent shivers up and down my spine: mandatory death sentence for drug dealers and he admired the "swift" justice of China and Singapore with an implied denied right of appeal. Expressions like "Cesspools of blood".
Trump is again inciting violence.
He named himself a victim, and clearly is running again to find some protection from prosecution. He is clearly a #ClimateChange #Denier, opposed to #GenderDiversity and #AbortionRights.
Time to mobilise, and prevent #Trump from becoming #POTUS ever again. #USPol

It's really hard to discuss #elections in good faith with an election #denier because their arguments basically boil down to "Well, something's fishy. I'm no dummy." For all their disdain of "emotional reasoning," the "evidence" they give us literally a hunch.
