Over subscribed #chemist shops appear to be struggling to keep up with #prescriptions and it leads to errors. #Apps for repeats are unreliable in many cases, turnover of assistants appears high & thus the only just trained are teaching new staff. #Pharmacists like #dentists are being undervalued.

I have only ever had 3 tooth fillings,all in primary school. Not cavities but 'soft spots' in my teeth Mrs East, the dental nurse, ensure me. That's all, besides a post brutal rugby match cap. Two of those fillings have now imploded, more than 45 years later I hasten to add. Unfortunately that has meant exploding tooth syndrome x 2 & no sign of #dentists around here. Pas sûre pour la reste de la France. I've phoned about 10 now, non of whom are accepting new patients. Tad gummy. Sexy much !

By the way, for specialist stuff you'll need a referral, but the people at IFSC Institute of Specialist and Cosmetic Dentistry is whom they will send you to, and they are precisely as amazing.

I can't begin to tell you how fantastic these people are or how awesome it is to watch Lucifer on the ceiling telly and have your dentist first question your taste/sanity and then get absolutely hooked.

I spent two hours at the specialist today and saved the bad tooth. Still in pain, still on antibiotics, but things are looking up.

Two things:

If you're looking for an absolutely amazing dentist in Dublin, it's Docklands Dental. I have always been treated so well and so kindly it's amazing. State of the art, extremely talented people, and you get to watch Netflix on ceiling-mounted tellies while they work.

If you have VHI, get the dental. It pays for itself

When did #dentists start to be moralists? If everybody took perfect care of their teeth, dentists would be out of a job. And if they had a sense of humor, it would help. I've been to a lot of dentists, and it seems like there's a type. I don't know what to call it though. It surely lacks some traits I want in anyone sticking their hands in my mouth, scraping, poking, yanking and generally causing some of the worst kind of physical and mental discomfort. I mean, there's a lot to criticize there.

That's ok. I'm sure they didn't need those teeth anyway... 😠
