Most people are unaccustomed to considering moral issues, at all, in any sort of systematic, scientific, logical manner, but that is, after all, what the study of entails, and is merely "Applied ", so the terms "deontology" and "teleology" are unfamiliar to them.

A morality determines rectitude by logical derivation from axioms and postulates, whereas a morality is one which determines rectitude by intentions or consequences.
