In a chain shop in Holland, in the men's underwear section, I take a second look at the poster on the wall because the fashion model looks so skinny. Close up, I notice the top-surgery scars.

A trans man selling underwear! Right on!

See how inclusion works? Nobody's running away screaming with their kids. It's just underwear. People still buy it because this place has a reputation: good quality for a good price.

On the poster is a smiling, short-haired man, unclothed except for black trunks, the kind that goes from waist to mid thigh. The model has no discernible abs, which is what drew my attention. The model has two horizontal scars on his chest below his nipples. Nothing about this photo read anything other than male, to me, but I don't know what the model's pronouns are.

I was located at the old Town & Country shopping center in the 80s. Walmart took over the space after Woolco closed their stores. Now, Uptown shopping complex is there.

I remember my parents got us our first new clothes & their first Christmas decorations & presents from Woolco. They couldn't afford the Woodward's department store, which was located where Mayfair Mall is now. Woolco was similar to Zellers & most families would afford to shop there.
