One of my teams is gearing up for a production release after a bit of a backlog of “completed” features have accrued. We’ve been working through various tests and strategies to de-risk this deployment, but oh boy do I regret us ending up in this position. Hassan establishes a key methodology for long-term #deployment of #robots: the ability for robots to go recharge their #batteries in an unknown environment independently of their mission. Hassan shows that robots can fully autonomously explore an environment through multiple battery charges, using an arbitrary exploration algorithm, path planner, or #SLAM system!
