I kinda need help. Have been struggling to look after myself. But also need to study hard so I can safely leave this country for higher studies and improve my life in the process. But since I'm struggling to look after myself, studying is extra hard.

Watched the #Barbie Movie last week. While it's not the best movie, I had some moments of tears especially at the end. Was very relatable while being #depressed.

Not in a good place right now. Woke up after a panic attack which I had again at work, leaving me paranoid and short of breath. Now after a brief exchange with family via WhatsApp, I now feel even more isolated than normal and had dreams of suicide when I took a nap after work. I am very #depressed tonight. Fought #Cigna all day trying to get my #diabetes #medications. They continue to insist that I don’t need them. My blood sugar will be 300+ without it, but they don’t care. My doctor wants me in the med, but that is not important either. Our bank account is $500 overdrawn and the med without a manufacturer coupon is $1000 a month. Why should I even try to fight anymore? No one cares if I live or die why should I?

Just to rant a bit and provide some advice:

#Depressed folks don’t need anyone to “fix” us or deliver empty words of encouragement. If anything, you can make things far, far worse that way.

We usually just need to know that somebody is listening and not feel isolated. I know that we can be exhausting, but if you’re going to be a meaningful part of the life of someone with #mentalhealth challenges you have to put in the work.

My wife tried a new allergy medication and found she was getting depressed. Did some research and found it was a common side effect. She posted about it on Discord and someone else said they’d been depressed for 10 years and had been taking it daily. They both quit and were feeling great within 2 days.

So if you’re on Zyrtec and feeling depressed, maybe try a new allergy medication.

Pretty big #bipolar episode tonight. Got super #depressed over the last few days, had a bigtime issue with #paranoia and a minor #breakdown tonight. Hubby was very quiet and patient and walked me through what was happening and talked me down. I feel very very grateful to avoid anything major going down tonight. He is a lovely human being 🌹
