The last of my #openmonumentendag visits – #DeRegentes is a former swimming pool now arts theatre. It opened on 22 April 1922 behind the frontage of a terraced house and ground floor business in Weimarstraat. By 1995 it could no longer compete with larger municipal pools, and it closed its doors. Its second life started when it was converted into a theatre. Many original features survive, including the tiled pool beneath the auditorium, and balcony changing cubicles.
