Derren Brown’s “Showman” on Channel 4 was fascinating. Magic tricks, hypnotism & psychic readings. What a talented guy. And the programme had Audio Description so I was able to follow what was happening. A really enjoyable couple of hours.

Busy #birthday weekend with #dinner at Le Raj in Epsom (you never know who you might be sat next to), a walkabout in #London and the m&m store before settling in for the genius that is Derren Brown and his show at the Apollo #theatre, with more food at a joint called sticky mango and finishing off with a good old game of badders with my mate today.

I experienced a huge amount of joy #today when I got to see one of my heroes, Derren Brown, perform on stage again. I'm particularly a fan of his books but I had to see Showman twice because it is such a thing of beauty and a wonderful tribute to his father.

My favourite moment was after the show when people stopped in the foyer to question each other about what they saw. That moment of astonishment was a wonderful moment to share with strangers.

God damn, he's a talented man.

I have booked myself tickets to see Derren Brown's new show in September. He sadly won't be starring in it, but it's written and produced by him for 7 performers. It's already selling out and it's not at general sale yet. I'm so excited 🥹🥹🥺🥺 this will be my fourth Derren Brown show (in as many cities) in the space of 2 years.

If it doesn't show - I may or may not fancy him quite a lot
