Fascists need to always have an enemy to point to, because the only thing going for them is destroying that enemy. DeSantis, like Trump, must constantly find escape goats for any negative results--even if they are the ones clearly causing those bad results, it's always someone else's fault.

And they make that someone else pay very real consequences.
