It's a little known or understood fact that desert centipedes sometimes rest in small groups forming a rough triangle. Over time local 'families' of centipedes gradually reposition their 'homes' to form rough triangles. It is not known why or how this is done. These triangles can tesselate or meet at a single point, but they never overlap.
