In undergrad I got to design the invitations to the senior show. We had already finished the program, so I just designed something that interested me. When I showed it to the professors, one said to me, “This is amazing. Why didn't you do this kind of thing throughout the program?” I replied, honestly, because I wasn't trying to get a good grade with it. In retrospect this was a failing of both mine, theirs, and the systems of education in which I was learning a craft. #DesignEducation
