Shutting down any exploration means the accessibility of future tech is bleak because, as we have repeatedly seen, technology will be built without any thought to disability and accessibility. Given that much of this newer technology will be imposed on the masses without want or need, it’s essential that everyone has access to investigate, and subvert as needed."

I have been thinking why I love the mastodon app. Is it the culture of communication? Is it the thought behind the medium? The community? It is the fact that the authors care, they cw, caption and educate? Is it the #fediverse ? Is it the fact that this space is free of ads?

DeviantArt and Celsys were made to back down. Why not ArtStation, too?

Yes, AI tech has its positive usages, and will continue to do so. Let's hold off on *this rush in this field* until we're sure enough of where we want to take it re: art and design, maybe?
