Twitter tritt aus EU-Pakt gegen Desinformation aus

Wie viele andere Online-Plattformen hat auch Twitter den freiwilligen EU-Verhaltenskodex gegen Desinformation unterzeichnet, will ihn nun wohl aber nicht mehr erfüllen. EU-Kommissar Breton sagt, Twitter könne sich vor Vorschriften nicht verstecken.

Tonight I lectured and had a conversation with the Youth Council in Gothenburg on the topic of democratic dialogue in a digital age, malign influence and desinformation.

I wish that all the groups I meet were as engaged, knowledgeable, insightful and forward-looking. I hope that the City of Gothenburg takes note of the young people's thoughts. The experience gives me lots of hope and confidence about the future, and the next generation of decision makers.

Ikväll föreläste jag och hade samtal med Ungdomsfullmäktige i Göteborg på temat det demokratiska samtalet i en digital tid, och om informationspåverkan och dess påverkan på opinionsbildning.

Jag önskar att alla grupper jag möter vore lika engagerade, kunniga, insiktsfulla och framåtblickande. Nu hoppas jag att Göteborgs Stad tar fasta på ungdomarnas tankar. Upplevelsen ger mig massor av hopp och tillförsikt om framtiden, och nästa generations beslutsfattare.
