Got back into rollerblading after some friends invited me to a rink for an evening. Man, I haven't done any activity that's had me sweating buckets after 20 minutes in probably an unhealthy amount of time.

Bought my own pair of skates and I've been leaving marks all over our driveway as I attempt to learn how to stop. Wish me luck!

Buying new work boots and the staff at the shoe store seem bewildered that I need boots that are both waterproof *and* armored with toe and metatarsal protection.

That seems weird to me. Feels like it's fairly common for an environment that needs one also needs the other?

What'll really blow some minds is that my job is nominally "white-collar" but my boots approach those of someone in an extractive industry.

The study actually said 5 minutes of standing up and walking around every *half an hour* can offset *some* of the most harmful effects of sitting down all day.

That makes 70 minutes of standing up and walking around for a 7-hour working day; bit of a different headline.

Well, #HalfLife3 is still a game by #Valve so perhaps if they made a new half life it would be more likely they made a new portal game but the #DeskJob is supposed to be Portal 2.5?

Though Valve is very #unpredictable, what they'll release next, who knows?
