There was that one image we couldn't find and relink at all. Followed by six more of the same. All the fonts that wouldn't load! And who could forget the first time we tried PDFing that crashed? Ah... The memories.

Hey Mastodon #DesktopPublishing people (is that a good hashtag??)

I need some software that will aggregate PDFs into a binder. In other words, it must take a number of existing PDFs and make them into one great big PDF, *adding page numbers* (that might be the hard part).

Will #MicrosoftWord do a good job at that sort of thing? (I have the Mac version.) I'm nervous about trusting it. Is there anything else?

This #design took me about 4-5 mins to complete.

But before there were computers & softwares that allowed #desktoppublishing, this would’ve taken half a day on a drafting board, using paper grids, Xacto knives, rulers, & lots of paper cutting & trimming.

Since the mid-1990s, #graphicdesigners began to take their work wherever they go. By the mid-2000s, almost anyone can work anywhere they want.
Thinking back to my early yrs of #graphicdesign, I’m grateful to have this technological luxury.

I've had this account for a few years, but maybe it's time for an #introduction.

Hi! I'm Stephen. I have a large number of interests, including collecting #stationery (particularly #fountainpen), riding my #bicycle (aka #cycling), reading (particularly #scifi, #cyberpunk), listening to #music (#postpunk and #postbop primarily), and wearing clothes. Most of my free time is taken up by being the personal gentleman of Ruckus Q. Ruckus, a #flamepoint #cat.

Professionally, I'm an #archaeologist working in the Cultural Resource Management (#crmarch) industry. I've recently transitioned from a field-heavy position to one that is primarily office based. As of spring 2022, my position is that of archaeological technologist (aka technomancer). I'm basically a data-wrangler who shepherds archaeological data from the early planning, desktop, phase, through fieldwork, labwork, analysis, and finally to curation. This involves a variety of technological interests including #GIS, #rstats, #database (#filemaker, mostly), #photogrammetry, #desktoppublishing, &c.

On the birb platform, my personal and professional interests were split into two accounts, but I'm attempting to merge the streams here.
