Is 30-39 standard notation I frequency tables in the US, rather than
30≤𝑥<40?
The second of these is a more common form for histogram questions in the UK. 30-39 would be taken to mean 29.5≤𝑥<39.5 and students would be expected to draw the histogram bin from 29.5 to 39.5.
