During my morning #Destiny2 reading today I learned that game writer Robert "Sphynxian" Brookes sometimes posts to the main Destiny sub, and when I checked his profile I realized that he posting lore analysis as far back as Curse of Osiris, before he even worked for Bungie! Yep totally the plan to write a half baked that spends more time not really explaining strand and definitely not the plot macguffin that we're chasing after and should apparently care about, the cringy storyline that feels tone deaf in comparison with what's going on half the time with the world's angriest fat trust fund boy scout as the villain.

Definitely not the plan to drip feed the story behind yet another paywall over the course of a year that will be deleted.

The thing I absolutely hate the most about #DestinyTheGame for the last few years is this idea Bungie got in its head that new Exotics should only be earned by playing small, very hard, single player mini dungeons.

IT'S A MULTIPLAYER GAME!!!

What it means is that Exotic engram that just dropped in the Crucible? Yeah... completely uninteresting because I KNOW that I already own whatever it is. :(

And don't mention Vex Whatever. Doesn't help if it NEVER happens across 3 days of trying.

The commendation screen in #DestinyTheGame’s Crucible takes so long to load that sometimes it doesn't finish before the countdown to the next match is over.

There needs to be some serious optimizing there!

I finally managed to beat the #Destiny2 mission //NODE.OVRD.AVALON//. It had been a couple weeks since my last attempt--I'd gotten really discouraged when I was attempting it under-level.

Now, I'm about 10-13 above the activity's power level and it wasn't bad at all. Not "easy" or anything, but it felt doable the entire time, which it definitely did NOT when I was being brought up to the minimum level before. Other than falling into holes, I think I only died like twice!

I guess I mostly want to feel right now like I am able to build cool resources that people want to use.

Update: While playing #Destiny2 tonight I used this Trust a bunch and it feels super great (aside from all primaries being weak right now because of power deltas etc.).

The reload was WAY faster than I expected from a hand cannon even when I wasn't benefitting from the alloy magazine boost and the 100 on recoil direction is ::chef's kiss::.

Really bummed this gun isn't available in #Drifter 's focused decoding.

Oh! In #DestinyTheGame I just found out that the weapon drop pool for gambit includes Trust again! One of the first hand cannons I really enjoyed using… I know I kept two of them around for a while but I must’ve dismantled them when it got sunset.

This roll is pretty good but I’d prefer rapid hit in the third column. And maybe incandescent for the fourth, but… my old ones were dragonfly too so this feels right.
