⬛️ On Sunday we received information about another person who died on the Polish-Belarusian border. The body of a young man was found by activists near Białowieża.

‼️This is another of the many victims of the anti-refugee policy of the state and the European Union.

The dam on the Polish-Belarusian border is packed with electronics, fully topped with razor wire and armed with about 2,500 cameras.
All this cost the government about PLN 1.6 billion, plus electronics for about PLN 332 million. To this should be added the purchase of drones or thermovision by the Border Guard - all this so that - as the Border Guard writes in its social media "it was safe".

❔️ However, is it safe?

❔️ In a cardboard country that spends billions of zlotys trying to convince us that it is doing it "for us"?

The only thing we are sure of is that people still overcome this barrier, and its greatest effect is dangerous fractures or deep wounds and subsequent traumas.

On the other hand, the most weak and defenseless - such as the elderly, the sick or children - camp out in the forest on the other side, by the spans of the wall, hungry, chilled and dehydrated.

"It's not pleasant to find out that there are people on the other side of the fence asking for help and size 26 shoes," said one activist.

And it's not pleasant when you know that you are not able to help and support enough people whom the system and the European fortress condemned to execution...

The thought that on the other side of the fence there are people, including women with children, who spend many days in the cold forest trying to find a better tomorrow - is overwhelming for us.

However, we still believe that our actions matter - not only as humanitarian aid, but above all in the dimension of political changes - for which we fight every day ✊️

While in Podlasie, we also notice an escalation of violence by the Border Guard against people involved in aid activities - intimidation, threats of violence, long hours of detention.
