The vibe at Eschenbräu was perfect. Missing it from south Germany. There was even a birthday party.

We had the Pils (R) and the Panke Gold (L). The Gold surprised us both with its hop character.

My wife has the Herren Pils form Keesman. Almost as good as the fresh bier Garten pour, but just as I remember, flavour profile wise.

Andddddd when the yeast drops!!

It really brought the drink together. The aromas even increased -- but perhaps that's due to it warming up. Really a pleasant beer. Can't wait to try an older bottle tomorrow.

Here is the Yasmin before the yeast pour. The matriach suggested I go to half before I pour the yeast / sediment.

Quite a treat. By far my favourite complex beer of my Germany tour.

Probably the most interesting of the four on tap... The Postdammer Stange. I hopped Lager with Wheat. It smells and tastes of a Raw Beer, but I haven't confirmed that with the maestro.

Malt sweetness. Nice wheat flavour.

My wife's first comment, "smells like our apartment when you brew".

Nice vibe here. To me, it's the Berlin version of my local whacky dive -- Shacklands.

At Schneeeule. On my mind for years, in the context of a German trip.

First beer is the classic Marlene. Very mild sour and satisfying on the palette. Glad it didn't cost a fortune for the bottle, like in Toronto.

The only brewery on my MUST do list is Schneeeule. I will not leave without it. But I appreciated the few tips I got. If anyone has any Berlin beer tips, let me know

I stopped posting in Amsterdam. I can summarize it by saying I drank a variety of local Amsterdam/Dutch and Imported Belgian beer -- which is quite popular. The most surprising beer was Amstel. Very crisp malt profile and I love the Dutch small glass serving.

If people do care, I'll do a quick thread.

Anyway, I'm here in Berlin! Got off the train and straight to the closest Döner Kebab.

Maybeeeee my last Kölsch in Cologne. Had a good meal here as well. This is perhaps the first Kölsch that stood out. Reminds me a bit of Hacker-Pschorr filtered Helles -- which is good, in my opinion.

I also really struggle to nail the accent on Kölsch and Köln. The "O" has two dots and it takes me two tries (minimum) 💀

Here is Sion. Probably the best.... But the Atmosphere at Früh @ Dom is definitely an experience.
