I wonder if there's others in #devrel #oss who feel this way. How do you balance the energy of what's quietly expected in your role with who you are as a person?

I was told recently that I need to rebuild my personal brand, to be more 'known' in the #FLOSS #OSS space.

My work in #devRel is not predicated on how much people know me, my name, or my work. It's on my empathy and understanding of #developer communities, and how to be an effective listener to interpret needs into features, groups into communities.

I'm perfectly comfortable existing behind the scenes to help others thrive and don't need constant affirmations to validate my impact. *shrugs*
