24/11 - thème : Lumière

"Devdas", roman de Sarat Chandra Satterjee, est l'équivalent indien de "Roméo et Juliette" par chez nous : une histoire d'amour tragique devenue immortelle. Il a été adapté mille et une fois au cinéma, mais l'adaptation que je connais est l'incroyable film de 2002 réalisé par Sanjay Leela Bhansali avec Sharukh Khan et Ashwarya Rai dans les rôles principaux. Enfants, Devdas, fils d'une riche famille, et Parvati, issue d'une famille pauvre, sont inséparables. Mais Devdas est envoyé dix ans en Angleterre par sa famille pour ses études. Pendant tout ce temps, Parvati laisse allumée une lampe en souvenir de son amour. Voilà qu'on annonce le retour de Devdas. Parvati chante. Attention les yeux, c'est du sucré comme même Disney n'en ose plus !
