I’ll probably regret asking, but what are people’s preferred #ruby #authentication gems these days?

I’ve used but hated #devise. Have no opinions on #clearance. Really enjoyed #sorcery but it seems like there’s a v1 rewrite happening which I am always suspicious of. I have been reading up on #rodauth but since this is going to be a #rails app I’m hesitant to jam #roda into it. And does the answer change for an api-only app?

The answer is to suck it up and use devise isn’t it?

I’m going to need to add #SAML support into a #Rails 7 / #Devise / #Omniauth application. It’s a multi-tenant application, and only some accounts will use SAML (most will use standard database authentication).

Anyone done something similar and would be willing to let me bounce questions off of them?

Why does "rails generate devise Human" create a route with "humen" ("e" instead of "a")?

C'était le thème de l'intervention de #JeanMarieDelarue lors des #UE #LRDG de #Montpellier en 2019.

Faire de la #sécurité la première des #libertés, c'est mettre la #liberté sous #surveillance, en priver le #citoyen.

C'est affaiblir notre #devise et donc la #République.

I used to be a big proponent of #SSO when it came to #authentication in my projects. But after a few rewrites where I wanted to remove said support and not to break the access for users, I think I like leaning on well established libraries (read: #devise) better.
